New Software Provides Reprographic Service Bureaus and Their Customers Improved Printing Workflow and Increased Print Job Productivity

CHICAGO, February 7, 2002 - Océ (Nasdaq: OCENY), a leading supplier of digital document management and delivery technology, today announced the introduction of Océ Repro Desk Server 1.0.2 for the recently introduced Océ TDS800 high-speed, wide-format printing system. This new version of print automation software improves the printing workflow and increases productivity of print jobs for commercial reprographers.

Océ Repro Desk Server 1.0.2 is the latest version of Oc's highly successful job submission and print management software. Océ Repro Desk software facilitates the electronic submission of drawing files and print request from clients to their reprographers while providing the reprographers with extensive print management and accounting functions to maximize the productivity of their printing equipment assets.

Powered by Autodesk technology, Océ Repro Desk Server 1.0.2, when combined with Oc's high-speed digital printers such as the Océ TDS800, provides the most comprehensive printing solution for the reprographics market. A server-based printing application, Océ Repro Desk Server 1.0.2 allows a reprographer complete control and preprocessing of jobs before submitting them to the Océ Power Logic® Controller. This distributed processing approach allows for streamlined operation within the print shop and provides an open platform for continued product development.

Océ Repro Desk Server 1.0.2 is a Windows-based print software that automates receipt of customer print jobs, as well as job accounting, management and queuing. It includes extensive previewing, auto-checking and trial printing facilities.

Océ Repro Desk Server 1.0.2 is available today for the Océ TDS800 series of high-speed, wide-format printing solutions. Océ Repro Desk Server products for the Océ TDS400 and Océ TDS600 departmental printing solutions will be available shortly.
